So, I went to see the new Banksy film last night, not really knowing what to expect but interested to see what the famous "street artist" could conjure up for the film world, and I must say I was very impressed and enjoyed every bit of it.
The documentary style of the film leaves you guessing through the most part whether this stuff actually happened, or it is just Banksy taking the **** out of the art world, and the willingness of collectors to jump on the bandwagon of anything with a little hype surrounding it, whether it be actual art or a copycat sell-out.
You should definitely make an effort to see this film if you can. It leaves you fulfilled that you have had a sneak peak into the lives of the infamous street artists but also questioning it's power within the art market and whether this is justified for what some call "just graffiti".
