The last few weeks

I have been a bit slack the last few weeks with blogging. Not sure if its because I have been so tired and lethargic or that I've just been a bit uninspired by things. Either way, I thought I would do a catch up post and update the crazy goings on for the last few weeks.

Firstly, there was The Strokes...and what an amazing gig that was! I remember back in 2001 when "Last Nite" came out, an old friend and I were on our way to the dodgiest but most fun geography field-trip in Norfolk on the bus singing and dancing away to the wonder that is The Strokes. And nearly 10 years later I managed to secure tickets to see them in Sydney. SO AMAZING!!!

Following The Strokes was Mumford and Sons at the Enmore Theatre. This was quite a low key affair in comparison to The Strokes but equally as amazing. They played a fantastic set combining a selection of the current album which I saw at Laneways in January, with a sneaky peak at their new stuff. Which, although is in a similar vein and format to their current album is definitely up their on the same level.

We then headed down the coast with some friends for some R&R, we stayed at our flatties parents house on the South Coast NSW which was perfect.
We spent most of the weekend drinking good wine, playing Articulate, taking the dogs for a walk along the beach and eating amazing food (yummy roast pork). Was so nice to get out of the city for a weekend.

And finally, we discovered the best vintage/flea market in Sydney on Sunday. The lovely Rozelle markets which are held every weekend at the School. So many treasures, but unfortunately a lack on money meant I couldn't purchase anything :(
