Knitted by grannies, Supported by supermodels

The North Circular is the new Eco label brain child of model Lily Cole, Isobel Davies of Izzy Lane Sheep Sanctuary, Katharine Poulton, and knitwear designer Alice Ashby. The label uses British wool from rare breed Wensleydale sheep from a Sanctuary in North Yorkshire and the knitters are all local, making it one of the best ethical and sustainable labels around. Although, the fact that I am currently living in Sydney and desperately want to purchase the hand-made pieces from England, kinda defeats the object slightly.

I love where they are going with this though and its nice to know more people are beginning to have a conscience about these things.
